perhaps it's what turns them on?

because still there are many lesbians that like that boyish style, it's not like they do it on purpose, it just happens that they prefer short hair and being a tomboy...it's called butch in the lesbian scene. the other side is called femme. I don't know why but lately many lesbians like to deny that there are butches...

PS: just ignore the ignorants that are calling you being an ignorant just because you ask a question.

Often times there is not a fem looking woman and a boyish looking woman, those are just the ones you see. You prob'ly think the two fem girls are just friends. Plus you can have short hair and still look very fem and girly. Don't sterotype dude.

The "boyish" looking females are called butches and usually these women are more in touch with their masculine side than their feminine side.

That's definitely not the general scenario. Many couples are both feminine or butchy. Everyone has her own things that turn her on. I'm 'butchy' and I prefer a woman who is a little feminine, not high maintenance, and not long hair. Too much time wasted on superficial stuff. I'm a jeans/polo shirt gal myself.

long hair - there are solid examples the place it juts comes off, even nevertheless it makes women seem as though cliched lesbians, or tomboys. If one needs to look somewhat female, long hair - verify out the maximum modern soaps and US dramas - all long hair, uncommon is it the single with short. if everyday subculture does that - its asserting something

Perhaps maybe you do not know what you are talking about! Even Rosie has long hair. You are just spurting your hatred.

There isn't always. Look at the L-Word and celebrity couples--or better yet, real couples in your area.
