I think they do it for many reasons. They aren't feeling attractive so the new person boosts their ego, they feel neglected and taken for granted and the new person finds them exciting and wants to spend a lot of time with them. They do it because they are bored and want something new. I do not condone cheating. The grass always looks greener on the other side, when in all reality, if you water your own grass it can be just as green!

I agree with "asexualasia" on this one. Also, Nine times out of Ten, it isn't the other spouses fault that their SO cheats. The fault lies with the one who cheats, some have personal issues that they choose to deal with in a very unhealthy manner.

Could be many reasons. It could be for sex or for money or for not getting what they want in thier marriage. I think it is a cheap way out of a relationship people should go get councelling and try to work things out.

sometimes it's because they're just not satisfied. the wife/husband may not be willing to experiment so they look for someone who is.
