my nickname was butch...i use to fight alot...and no now i am refered to as ***** hehe....and proud of it!

Yeah.. got a nickname, family use it on and off, friends from school do and even friends I made at university.... can't believe it now.
That was the cut off. After that its first name only with new acquaintances
I don't see those people too often so when I had a school reunion last week and met the new husband of one of them and got introduced I had to see it from his point of view. Bit odd
I'm 37 now. It is a little weird like split personality.
I put it down to my real name which i think people don't like to say. A name is very important and I think thats been botched with me

I used to be very ugly last time and i was the target of people creating nicknames for me. As i had thicker lips than other people, they give me lots of names like "big mouth" , "hotdog lips" and more. But no one calls me that now.

Gizmo - as i was the smallest girl in my year ( the lads in the year above me came up with the name - it was at some point shortned to giz ) , stuck with me all through secondary school. It was never malicious though - they were like my big bro's - looked out for me and all that

Lucky, only still called so by few that i still have contact with. my younger brother has had a bad habit of introducing me as such , and i have eventually convinced him to use my real name.
