Anyone who has seen a magazine subscription card knows the kind of postage paid that I mean. It is just a box that says "no postage necessary if mailed in the United States".

I stuck the netflix envelope in metered mail today, because it isn't stamped....but it isn't metered, either.

Stamped is more appropriate, but it doesn't really matter. (Half the time the letter carrier who collects from the two boxes puts them in the same bag anyway!)

Stramped is the correct box because business reply mail is supposed to be postmarked even though it's metered. It also is supposed to be weighed and marked with the postage to be deducted from Netflix's account -- although that's a moot point unless you've put more than one DVD in the envelope and it weighs more than 1 oz. (Netflix has so many envelopes arriving every day I suppose the PO has a sampling and mass weighing system for them anyway rather than billing by the piece, each one weighed and counted, the way they did for my ex-employer.)

Use the stamped mailbox. It has pre-printed indicia and that is considered stamped

Honestly, it doesn't matter anyway, as it is sorted again into a special container for Netflix.

Metered. Anything that uses a bar code instead of a stamp is "metered."

It does not make any real difference. It will get to the proper address no matter which box you put it in, it may take a day or two longer that's all.

It doesn't matter that much... most postal carriers mix them in together and they get sorted later... but to answer your question, put it in the metered box.

Something very illegal...I mean what I would do to him, not because he read my mail but because he was sitting on my mailbox. I cannot tolerate lazy delivery people in my world.

I guess you could stick it in either one. I usually just throw those in with the stamped.
