It is Nitrous oxygen system. The movies Fast and Furious helped spark the craze of people putting it in their cars to make them go faster during street racing.

I know that parents think that everything that they don't understand is about drugs, but that is not the case here. I think what is more important here is why you assumed it was about drugs. Perhaps, you should reassess your communication levels and your trust levels.
