I planted 2 lavender plants in my garden this spring. I believe they are getting enough sun, but perhaps I am giving them too much water. The foilage looks nice and healthy, but there is no sign of any blooms. I believe the blooms are suppose to be purple.
Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

it might be that the plant hasnt reached maturity yet and wont bloom until it does. we have several plants/trees/shrubs planted that wont bloom for another year.

yeah, they may just be too young. but word of advice, in the late fall they will turn gray and brittle, DON'T cut them back. they should only have the dead foliage removed the next spring after setting new foliage. if you cut them back too soon, they won't bloom and it might actually kill them. good luck, i have 3 lavender plants that i started from seed a few years back and i have a great harvest every year. just be patient and they should bloom fine.

I agree. If you bought a starter plant, it might need one more year to be able to produce flower. I usually order plants from the catalog. And many of them will need several years to be able to bloom. So just be patient. I believe they will bloom next year. :-)

Most varieties bloom in spring or fall. Most do not bloom throughout the summer.

Lavendar never blooms the first year. Since it is a perrenial it will bloom the second or third year. Just be patient.

its either you planted an artificial or it has died
