ive gone to a private school all my life and our school has a dress code
basically.. its preppy - polo shirts, sweaters, flats, skirts etc..
but im going to a new school where they dont have a dress code
ive visisted the school a few weeks ago so there werent any students & i dont know what they wear
i think ill feel really uncomfortable and awkward wearing jeans to school
do you think i should keep my preppy style or go shopping for jeans and tees?

I think you should wear whatever makes you more comfortable. For many people the "prep" look is their style. Others are more "funky" some "gothic" some "urban" etc. There are so many different styles in high school that it's hard to say what you should and shouldn't wear.I suggest you look around for the first couple of days and decide what styles you see that are best for your personality. Another option is to make friends and ask for their opinions and suggestions. Hope this helps and good luck.

Whatever your comfortable with. but I suggest you buy a pair of jeans. If you wear skirts forever, people might think you're amish or something. Shop at American Eagle, A&F, and Forever21 for fashionable looks that are preppy and in style!

Try someplace that is popular, like Abercrombie, Hollister, or Express. When you are shopping, just make sure you're picking out things you like, buut feel comfortable in. Once you get used to your new school, you will be able to determine the style that works the best for you, while still being in style.

You can go shopping for cute polos, they have them in all kinds of patterns and everyone wears them but have some other tees too and capris and jeans.

Just keep to your true self. If you are comfortable with the preppy style and do not intend to change it, don't change for the sake of conforming!
A person's personal styles changes by time, so take your time to discover what kinda styles you like!

go shopping for jeans and tees but ease into your new style gradually, it will make the transition easier. also get lots of fun accersories to make your outfits complete!
