Why do people say "Life is short" when in-fact it is the endevor that will take you the longest to accomplish.

I'm with John D on this. In fact, the phrase itself could be better stated as "Life is immediate," it's now, this moment; it could be gone in the next moment. So if you want to accomplish anything, or help your fellow man, or let someone know you love them, you better not wait. Because if it does turn out that you live 70, 80, 90 years - which seems like a long time - and you're looking back at your life, you'll be amazed at how quickly those years passed, and you don't want to spend any time you might have remaining in regret and/or remorse for things you did or did not do.

Life is just that much.
Just don't wait for anything. Do the good deeds without waiting.
You may not have enough time, when you want to do.
Life is short is a relative term. Compare with those of longer duration it is short. Compare with those of short duration it is long.

This life was made to be short. As a christian, I know that this is not the end of my life. There will be a whole new beginning that will last untill eternity

time flies by so fast. 70 years compared to how old the earth is, is nothing. life is short. very few people accomplish everything they want to before they die. there just isnt enough time.

In other words do what it is NOW, and not wait til LATER. You never know if you'll live to do it tomorrow. I'm talk'in any task in life, rather its owning a business, travelling, getting married or even getting kids.

First of all think yourself how much deeds you have till now count them and calculate how much time is required to fulfill the needs of them and secondly think do you perfectly know how much deeds will you do in your life.
