What was he involved in that he had 4 loaded guns in his suv and a bulletproof vest? Is he the biggest waste of football talent of all time and if not who was?

I was going to ask the same question!

I don't know, but if it were me and I had several loaded guns & an open bottle of vodka in my car, I'd probably pay closer attention to traffic rules.

I live about an hour's drive from Youngstown, and he was the talk of the town when he went to OSU from Harding High School.

His only moment in the sun was scoring the winning touchdown in the Fiesta Bowl, which helped the Buckeyes win the National Championship. Since then, I think he's tried to use that to get away with a lot of things (like suing the NFL to get into the draft early), and it's backfired.

Denver picked him up in the third round last year and cut him preseason, and since that happened he's been arrested for aggravated robbery and now this. These new charges, coupled with the robbery charges, might put him away for awhile.

He needs to get a clue and see that this kind of life isn't going to get him anywhere. He should've went back to school and got his degree (if not at OSU, then somewhere else). I heard somewhere that his major in college was Social Work; he'd make a bigger difference doing that than doing time in prison.

Needless to say, the Mahoning Valley Hitmen might not be featuring Maurice Clarett on its roster next year.

That being said, he shares the "Are Your Brains in Your Jock Strap" award with Ricky Williams and Terrell Owens.

Yeah he is a total moron, oh and you forgot about the high speed chase. Nothing like adding to your troubles. I wouldn't say he is the biggest waste of football talent. I would say Ricky Williams is a bigger waste. Sure he made it to the NFL but he really doesn't want to be there now. He went back because he owed too much money if he didn't play. Williams made it to the NFL when he didn't even really want to play, just imagine how dangerous he would be if he WANTED to play. I mean Clarett couldn't make a team when he DID want to play.

Maybe Lawrence Phillips, though Clarett is making a hard push for his throne! What a pile of wasted human skin those two are!

problem with clarett is he tried to come to the NFL to early and then had nothing to do for 3years since he got the boot from Ohio State and then his talent and value went downhill after that....so the moral of the story is dont get in trouble and stay in school...

A lot of people waist football talent every year. He was just one of the more notable ones. I am a waist of football tallent. I was kicked out of a Div1-AA school after my freshman year and arrested for possesion of a firearm & assult. I lost my Scholarship, and 2 years of my life. Therefore I killed my dream of ever playing in the NFL.

can you say Dumas. the biggest waste of talent was Art Schlichter that man had more talent then all 3 Manning combine. He pissed it all away betting on football.

He is a total loser who can't seem to realize how to stay out of trouble. Maybe they will lock him up and he can be some inmates toy for a while.

He's done as a football player. And as a person as well. Put him in jail and keep him there.
