blank screen on i pod nano pressed menu nothing happens thought that battery must be flat, plugged it into computer to charge, started charging ok then a tick appeared on the screen and the battery bar had stopped moving. Removed i pod from computer pressed menu to start playing - usually an apple appears on the screen but on this time a file appeared and i couldnt play the music, after a few times of turning off and putting back on and the file appearing, it wouldnt do anything just a blank screen, plugged it back into the computer but nothing is happening even the computer dosnt seem to be able to find it, because when i go into i tunes the ipod appears but it not even doing this now.

The best thing would probably be to reset your iPod. This should be on your Start menu under iPod updater or something to that effect in a folder "iPod". It should ask if you want to restore or update your iPod. Just click on restore. It might take a few moments but this should work. JUst remember this will also delete any info on the iPod as well..

maybe the batterys completely dead, but that would depend on how long youve had it. i have ipod nano too and a lot of people say that its fragile. did you drop it or bang it recently? also, people say that a blank screen is common w/ nano. if youve had it for a while it could be that it just wore out.

ipods are crap have had three at this stage and had problems with them all i say get rid of it and get a sony or creative zen much better

you need to re-install the drivers and install the latest ipod update from apple....
