you will possibly pay attention those as "plug and chug" issues. in basic terms plug interior the numbers for X Y and Z and sparkling up. remember your order of operations: (XZ) - Y = (4 * -2) - -3 = -8 + 3 = -5 XY ÷ Z = (4 * -3 ) ÷ -2 = -12 ÷ -2 = 6 XYZ = 4 * -3 * -2 = -12 * -2 = 24 -Z + (YX) - Y = -(-2) + (- 3 * 4) - (-3) = 2 + -12 + 3 = -10 + 3 = -7

There's no shortage of people on here who've got this right but I'm going to take you through it nice and slow. Do the bit in the brackets first. If y=3, y-1=2.
So, x(y-1) is really x multiplied by 2, which is 8
Now you just have to multiply that 8 by 2, which is 16
