Don't get me wrong Craig is a good actor.
Layer Cake is a great film.
He just isn't Bond.
Why didn't they go for Clive Owen he looks the part and he's a great actor.
I was thinking on the same lines a couple of months ago.

Watching the trailer available online he looks brilliant for the role. The movie looks as if it's going to be a more down to earth adventure, grittier and more naturalistic than the Brosnan series. He has that cold s.o.b look of an assassin and has the right body type for an action hero. I've not seen him acting but those who've seen it say that he is pretty good. I'm looking forward to the film!

I need to see him in the role, but my initial thoughts were the same upon hearing that Timothy Dalton was going to be Bond. And that was, ummm, no.
The problem I see if that I can not think of a British actor who would fit the role. or even an Aussie.

he may do the action part well but as far as fitting the role he does not. he just does not have the look of a james bond but we'll have to wait and see

i'll wait to see the film, by the way it's the first Fleming's book
we have a lot to see

I personally do not know to much about him, but I think anyone deserves a chance. Apparently the producers saw something in him that would fit the role so, I'm sure he will do well...

I don't see how anyone can comment properly until the film comes out BUT....after seeing a few clips he looks pretty sexy to me

i dont no, i cant see him bein as good as the classics but then again maybe some new blood will do it good. I hope he does well tho and people like it for his sake.
