I'm 23 and have $13000 saved. decide how much money you need in your checking at all times.....once you've paid all bills for a pay period, transfer any excess money to a savings account.

Seriously restrict use of credit cards. Get a savings account that you can't access with an ATM card.

Pay yourself first. Have money withheld from your paycheck and deposited into an account that you can use without penalty.
You will miss it less than doing it any other way.

you have to make money first then u will start save all that,don't spend, and invest it .

deposit all your pay in your bank. live with parents, dont buy new clothes, dont shop, dont get a girlfriend, no restaurants, clubs and pubs.
