My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now. I have been on clomid three times. My doctor says that she can't put me on clomid again because of the risk, and I can't do the fertility shots b/c I have to big of a risk for multiples (something about me having to many egg folicules). So I wondered if anyone has anymore ideas for me. I am going to back to see the doctor next week, so I am trying to get some suggestions to talk to her about.

If you are not already at an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist), try to find one asap. Clomid does not work for everyone, but there are other options. One drug that tends to work on people who hyperstimulate (producing lots of follicules) is Femara. It doesn't produce as many, but they are quality eggs.
Has your husband had a semen analysis? Have you been checked by an HSG? There are so many things that you can still do. Don't lose hope!

I would also suggest seeing a RE , thry are much more thorough than an OB . Do they know for sure that you did not have a bunch of folicles before going on clomid. There is something called PCOS and it will cause that, and you can have a very hard time getting pregnant on your own if you have that. There are things to help you get pregnant if you have PCOS. There is always IUI with clomid, Have they discussed that with you? It is not near as pricey as IVF!!! There are lots of options out there, never give up hope. You did not mention your age . If you are a little older it could take you longer to get pregnant, which may be why your drs are not to alarmed . It can take any healthy couple with no infertility problems over a year to get pregnant. I wish you the very best of luck.
