Is is harder for wild rabbits to survive in this very hot weather, when the plants they eat are so dry?

WTF - Of course they drink, thats one of the factors of life.
They drink from burns and lochs and pooled water etc, thats why if you go hunting when the suns rising over a loch you can shoot about 100 of the little buggers muhahahaha.

i think, as with most wild animals that rabbits get a lot of their essential fluid from their food. Rabbits are mostly seen early in the morning and late evening, but are out alot of the night. If you think about these times of day, its when the dew is starting to settle on the grass. Therefor when the eat, they also get moisture. Im sure they do drink from other sources too. Ie puddles etc.

In dry situations they can survive from the water found in desert plants (xerophytes). These plants are adapted for long periods of drought and store water in their leaves which animals as large as buck can survive from without 'drinking' water for many months. They will also lick off dew that has collected on leaves due to the extreme temperature changes in these dry areas. There are also animals that use this to their advatege and will stand very still in the early morning and let the dew collect on their bodies and then lick it off before it evaporates.

Their diet in the wild is mainly grass which contains a lot of water, so they don't have to drink as much as domestic rabbits who eat mainly hay (dried grass).
I think it also depends on availability - not all warren territories will necessarily contain a water source.

I have put a bowl of water out and have seen wild rabbits close to it but haven't actually seen one drinking.

Of course they drink. They stay all day underground in their burrows where it's cool and not in the sun they don't loose water. They probably get water from the dew that falls overnight as this is when they come out to feed.

Yes they do drink water and yes it is hard for them to survive since it is so dry, bit they can still find clover and some green grass. they also raid fields and gardens.

Well of course they have to drink because they wouldn't survive with out water just like us humans!

They usually hang around the bars until 2 am, picking fights and trying to pick up all the does.
Seriously, many of them take advantage of sprinkers and other man-made assistance to have some water.
