Suppose there was a plane flying carrying 6 people. The pilot had a sudden heart attack, leaving only the 5 passengers left. However, ONLY 3 passengers would survive the crash completely unharmed, while the other 2 died. This decision of who lived & who died is yours. Among the 5 people:

One is an ex-murderer who had since turned his life around & became a popular activist for helping to reform other criminals.

One is a single mother of 3 kids who had been on her way home from an out-of-state job interview to support her kids while a friend watched her kids for her.

One is a retired old doctor who had been traveling the world to low income places and providing free medical aid, saving numerous lives.

One is a 15-year-old girl who was on her way to stay the week with her grandparents.

And the last passenger is a blind woman who had became a political voice for equal rights among the disabled.

If you had to pick who lived & who died, who would it be? Think! Tell me why?

If you had to pick who lived & who died, who would it be? Tell me why? I want you to consider whom you automatically (or most easily) chose to pick for life or death. Why? Was it because of his/her job? Age? Past? What? There is no right or wrong answer here – but just the task of getting you to think critically and (if you know me) expanding your mind. Does a 15 year old have more of a right to live than an older man, or blind person? You tell me...

you know what? I can not even go there. In this situation only God will choose. No matter who dies there will still be grieving families and friends and many others who will loose out because of the loss of any of these people. That 15 year old could grow up to be the person to bring us all to world peace. And the elderly doctor could discover a cure for AIDS next month. The blind woman has been bringing "sight" to people without disabilities by advocating for the disabled. A mother of 3 arriving home from a job interview- not much there for info... maybe they are all boys ages 3yrs to 7. and the youngest is dying and if mom doesn't get this job there won't be any health insurance either. Now how about the ex murderer, he's not only turned his own life around ( apparently he has found Jesus) but now he is helping, trying and turning others on to Jesus. I for one am glad that this choice is not mine to make. Who did you choose?

if i were to choose, i would choose the mother, the doctor and the 15 yr old.... i made this decision, because i thoguht how i would feel if i were any of thoes people, at the same time i kept in mind the families of the people and my own thoughts as myself.
the ex murderer i left to die because of his past.... yes he had turned his life around and would be a role-model, BUT at the same time. NOW is his turn, its his ultimate repayment. the mother i left to live, beacuse her children need her, the doctor i left to live because he can help so many mroe people to continue to live, and with all the wars and all the famine in other countries that is strongly needed, the 15 year i let live because she is 15 and chances are she would be scrambling above al the other to try and get to safety, and she also leads to the elderly blind woman who would probablyw ant to see the young girl live above her. she would know her time is close and feel liek she was doing a great thing helping the young girl to live.

thats the best solution i can come up with... tho who knows, if i were actualy in the situation, i'd likly go for first come first serve to the plane's door for safety.

I would pick the 15 year old girl because she is young, and deserves a chance at life.
And i would pick the single mother because she has children to take care of and watch grow up.
And finally i would pick the blind women not because she is blind but because the reformed murderer, has still taken someones life before.. And the fact that he is reformed only means he has had his second chance in life.
And the old doctor based upon his age has lived a good life.

single mother - young kids shouldn't go through that
doctor - could help treat any injuries on survivors
and 15 year old, well coz I'm old school "woman and children" i guess and no parent should lose a child, let alone so young.

in the blind womans passing it will be noted in papers and on the news gaining coverage for the cause she lived for, fuelling others desires to help - some people are like that.

and the ex murderer dying can put fear of karma into other crims...

i could truly die. in case you lived invariably, you'll change into bored. If no longer in the subsequent 100 years, or one thousand years, ultimately the earth will be destroyed, engulfed with the help of the solar, and it can be merely you floating in area all on my own. yet per chance if time is endless, then ultimately you'll discover your way unto yet another planet interacting with yet another existence style so who's prevalent with? i wager the question relies upon fullyyt on if time in endless and if even with being immortal you'll nonetheless sense discomfort.

I'd make sure the most attractive female survived on the off-chance that she'd sleep with me by way of thanks. And the wealthiest one, on the off-chance of a decent reward for my bias. The third one would be tricky because I doubt that after sex and money any of them would have anything I want. So I'd simply get them to offer me a bribe and pick the best out of the measly crop, I suppose.

Highest bidder lives.

Cheapskates die.

It makes no difference to me who lives or dies. If I were to judge who is worthy to continue to live based on their contribution to the world, then I'd be inclined to kill the retired doctor. We have more than enough doctors to go around, they are expendable.
