Whatever is comfortable for the mom to be. That is the only condition that would control positions.

It really depends on how far along you are and what is comfortable for the woman. I believe when I was in my last trimester, my doctor not to have sex with deep penetration. Besides being uncomfortable, it could begin contraction and premature labor (talk to your doctor about this). He said any position that gave me control over how deep penetration went was fine. I preferred being on top for the last semester (squatting)...and of course my hubby didn't mind at all. But it really doesn't matter as long as you and your partner can communicate what feels comfortable to YOU! You must feel comfortable enough to tell him if it hurts and have him go slow at first so you are able to.

Have you heard of doggy style, well that means from the back bent over but still standing with your arms supported on a bed or something, this is best because your husband will do most of the work so you will not get tired easy and there is no pressure on your belly.

I found best to work from behind, standing up. Not too much pressure on me or the baby. It works good and actually I had a hard pregnancy and the doctor said that would be the safest ,

There's no "perfect position." It just depends what the couple prefers. Try different things, and find what works for you.

We did it anyway that was comfortable. I didn't have any real constraints until I was 8 months and too huge to sit up.
