the answer may be given on two aspects....
first, biologically,
the foxes will never feel guilty, as their brain cetntres for very complicated emotions like sadness, guilty, revenge etc are not developed. they only want to suevive in a world of competetion, and nothing else. thus, the foxes, never feel that a bunny is cute, or feels guiltyu of killing it. what it knows is that it is hungry and wants to eat something or else it would die.

second, philosophically,
why would a fox eat the bunny if he feels guilty of killing it?
do you feel guilty after you eat beef, thinking of a cute little calf?.....

I'm a fox and I always feel some guilt, I must admit it. But it's in my nature to eat tiny bunny rabbits, especially the cuttest ones that are so tasty, so what else do you expect me to do?

no, they feel as much guilt about eating a rabbit as you feel about eating a leg of lamb. Food is food, and guilt stems from ownership and respect. If you respect the lamb like it's your pet, then you would feel guilty about eating it, but if it is a lamb on a farm somewhere on the other side of the country then you don't know the lamb and so you generally don't respect the lamb as an individual living creature. Also if it is offered as food then it is given to you to own as food, and when it is prepared as food it is different to if you had to prepare it yourself to be food.
