Not Silicon City it is Silicon Valley
is the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California in the United States. The term originally referred to the region's large number of silicon chip innovators and manufacturers, but eventually became a metonym for all the high tech businesses in the area.

Now the term Silicon city is a common phrase used to refer the high tech industry area in a city
India cities
Bangalore
Hyderabad
Mysore
Pune etc.

Silicon Valley maybe? If that's to what you are referring... it's south of San Fran Bay area and north of Santa Clara Valley... it's a region where silicon chips are manufactured in the states.

I have heard Hollywood referred to as Silicon City because of all the stars that get plastic surgery and boob jobs.
