tHere is no possible way but to get married to a Filipino if you are an American,.. By being a non-Filipino citizen in the Philipins, YOu can't get the chance to own a peice of land here, vote, or whatever... I don't know if the lenght of your stay will affect your being a permanent resident in the philippines despite your being single.. Contact Department of Foreign Affairs in the Phil.

you have to apply for residency with the appropriate govt agency, perhaps Immigration. I presume you are financially secure else finding a good paying job could take some creative planning. You also may research dual citizenship option if you are of part Filipino descend. If none of these works for you, contact me as last recourse.

Why would you want to do that?! Why do you want to be a Philippine citizen when so many people there can only dream of coming to the United States?

BOI....I think the requirement for a special resident visa is $50,000 investment. Are you below 35? There is a "retirement" visa with a $70K deposit.

it's easy, first you have to visit the Philippines, they don't require a visa if your stay is less than I think a month, then after you get there, Then consult your embassy, I'm sure they have the right answers.
