Since this is a fee that the credit card companies charge you, I'm not sure you can waive them. However: If you have a good relationship with your creditor,(You make your payments on time, don't overcharge your card, and don't transfer balances often)then I'd call them, explain what I'm doing and ask them to waive charges. In most cases, especially if you tell them you're considering another card, they'll waive any transfer fees.

Don't have a credit card. I am 58 years old and never had one yet and don't plan on getting one anytime soon.
