I believe that... Personality fit (and common inherent values) is better than any sign fit, or any age fit, or any race fit or anything else fit for that matter! Except maybe a family (usually mother) disapproval! If you are going to place a momma approval above your own desire then you are going to have a realtionship with momma.!!!!! So a momma disapproval doesn't fit with anyone but momma!!!! Otherwise what you want - from a relationship - is a fit!

Cancer and Pisces, which are water signs like Scorpio. We are also compatible with Taurus and Capricorn to an extent.

my answer is two part:
first----- trust your heart AND your head....even that little voice in the background telling you to either fall head first into the person OR to run away!!! usually the first instinct is the correct one...
second---- my dearest love is a scorpio{fire fire fire} and i am a taurus {mother earth}... i know, i know, opposites!! to make it even sweeter, he and i are opposites to the day...24th {october and april respectively}. we have been in love for over 20 years, since i was 11 and he was 13. we fight just as hard as we love, and thats pretty dam hard!! he is truly my other half, most times the better half {smile}. we are yin and yang....hot and cold...love and hate....light and dark... TOGETHER. one can not exist without the other.
easter 2005 we got tatted together....the kanji for yin and yang....
you know fire can not exist without something to burn and the earth always replenshes itself greener, stronger, and even more beautiful after it has been scorched...
ive said all that to say this.... the horoscopes--just like any other chart or table or set of rules or WHATEVER that attempts to classify any of us as 1 thing or another--are guidelines. you know when its real

You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.
What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendant make?
The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.
What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved?
For a female's chart you can look to the Sun and Mars and their aspects for what types of males they are attracted to.
For a male's chart you and look to the Moon and Venus and their aspects for what types of females they are attracted to.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.
Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.
The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.
Sun sign horoscopes are absolutely inaccurate to determine compatibility between two people.

scorpio+virgo is love because virgo are soft natured and not strong minded unlike scorpio who want to have their say in everything. so there will be fewer clashes and very good understanding. aquarius are also strong minded which makes unfit for scorpio
