He might be lactose intolerant. http://www.notmilk.com/ Also, overuse of stimulant laxatives can cause dependency. In severe cases, the colon completely loses peristalsis. This will create problems in the future and can lead to a lifelong dependency on laxatives.

Warm prune juice with melted butter in it. Works like a charm. That's what we used in family care homes. None of this sounds right anyway! Feet? The fiber is suppose to be ingested not inserted! Maybe this is some kind of culture thing but it sounds like a lot of future problems for your son-both physical and mental! Get a good pediatrican and therapy for your wife.

I suggest you talk to another doctor and follow what that doctor advises. As far as your home remedy, I would suggest you don't do that because it may be "teaching" his body to only work when it has this mixture. He may be what they call "lactose intolerant" which means he is allergic to dairy products.
I also suggest that if you wish for him to learn to use western style toilets you buy one for your home. Then teach him by example how to sit there and do his business.
His constipation may be caused by a resistance to being controlled. In other words, he has you and your wife "trained" to worry and fuss when he needs to have a bowel movement. Kids are pretty smart! I'm not saying he is doing it on purpose, so PLEASE don't punish him in any way over this. If he is controlling you in this way, it is subconscious (means that he isn't aware of what his brain is telling his body). It is very important not to frighten or punish a child who is having this problem.
See a doctor. Good luck.

Stop giving him dairy products and give him more raw vegetables and fruits. Milk was meant for calves, not humans. Since you're into Asian stuff, check out the diet of rural Asians and see why they're so healthy. There's practically no cancer, diabetes, or other anomalies typical of those found in people on a western diet.
'nuff said?

This is rediculous.
Do not stick anything up him.
Have him drink more liquids.
Diluted prune juice is excellent for constipation.
In general fruits (including tomatos) and vegies help.
Lots of water and the prune juice should do it.
If he cannot digest milk then he should not have it.

First off... I have to ask. Are you full of ****? If so then the problem is hereditary. The problem will correct itself in time as your child grows older and developes his language skills. At this point he will now be able to relieve himself verbally as is known to be done by all those , refered to as, Full of it.
