in all countries the situation is the same. u see any country in the world there are the haves & the have nots. the rich are getting richer & the poor are getting poorer. its not going to be possible to have 100% literacy in any country. we being indians we see it more rampant here. but even the richest of the countries have their share of the poor & the illiterate.
what each one of us can do is become more aware as citizens, become active citizens & do our duties so that we are satisfied that we have done something for our country & its people.

That's the problem with us.We keep carping about these things & don't even think of doing something ourselves. Why the hell r u posting such a ques. here? Had u been really bothered, u should've asked the govt. which 'promised' u this or u should've done something about it. U could've formed a group & taken up the task of educating the underprivileged. But no, u r waiting 4 something to happen; u don't want to make it happen.
What's wrong about working in a BPO? It's an industry worth crores 2day. It earns valuable foreign exchange 4 our country.U gotta be dumb if u think it's useless. It generates employment 4 our ever-growing population. Inventions, discoveries,...... etc. are no criteria 4 making a job 'useful'. The basic need is generation of employment & revenue, which the BPO is doing.
Ours is a gr8 country. Yes, it has its share of flaws, just like any other country. Our job is to mend it, not to highlight it. If only we knew how to do our duties!
Ours is the biggest democracy in the world. If u don't like a govt. DON'T VOTE 4 IT.
If u r a true citizen, u won't take offence 4 this ans. of mine.

There isn't 100% literacy in any country. It's pretty obvious why this isn't possible.
