Seriously? They're two different styles of player, but if you had to compare them I'd say Rooney.
He's more of a match changer. You always feel he's capable of doing something in a match. He's also more consistent. C Ronaldo can be devastating, but far too often he floats around on the peripheral of a game, not getting involved, and then sulks when he gets substituted; like all wingers now I come to think about it...
Sure Rooney has got a temper on him, but it what makes him the player he is.
I don't think C Ronaldo is a bad player by any means, but I think (partially due to his position), he'll never be as influential as Rooney.

totally different types of players. Rooney is a battler who depends on power whereas Ronaldo is a technical player. Rooney is a more rounded player, more versatile and not as theatrical. Plus i hate Ronaldo with a passion!!!

I'm dutch so I feel a deep hatred towards te portuguese, especially the likes of C. Ronaldo and Figo, they're nothing but crybabies who spoil the beauty of fotball with their schwalbes.

well they have different ideas of played that meets the eye, ronaldo is a very different kind of player, and roony is different too in his played. ok to anser your question i think they are both batter in their own way. ronaldo skill full and other, roony strong player. because ilike skill full play i would say ronaldo. another person who like physicaly played in a good way would say roony he's great too but my vote is on ronaldo.
