No, other way around. Humans are evolving into monkeys, as proven by your question.

Monkeys did not evolve to humans. A common ancestor split to become monkeys and humans. And yes, the process takes a looooong time (thousands if not millions)

they do not and never did evolve from monkeys to humans. If they ever did evolve from monkeys to humans why would the process stop? They simply never evolved into humans.

No. Humans are primates - apes, specifically, and, as such, share a common ancestor not so far back (only about a dozen millions of years back) with monkeys.

Oh, sure, if we were around back then to classify the common ancestor, we would have called it a monkey, but it's not any living species (or even genus) of monkey.

Sure, go to an area where you can find a monkey and bring it home. Wait until it turns into a human and then you can ask it questions. DARWIN ON HIS DEATH BEAD SAID, "IT'S JUST A THEORY".

EDIT: If we evolved from monkeys, then what will we turn into next?

Yes, 5 million years ago, there was a split in a population of primates that looked like chimpanzees. On line became modern chimps, the other line became us.
