full shirt with short collars and straight left pocket and it should be fit at the sides which will make you look taller and length should be medium short as you can wear it on jeans if a casual one and straight cover on buttons so that you can wear it if it is formal

I would recommend the full-sleeve. I sometimes leave the sleeves down, or I roll them up for that signature 'preppy' look.

You also want to get shirts that are 'fitted' as opposed to the 'classic fit'. The fitted shirts give the more hour-glass figure due to the design of its cut. In the case of classic fit shirts, the sides go straight down { | | } and don't bend inwards { ) ( }.

...basically:

-classic = | | <--sides go straight down
-fitted = ) ( <-- sides bend inwards

Fitted shirts are, in my opinion, more stylish and help define your body more so than classic. For example, when you button down a classic shirt, you'll look kind of...wide, even if you are naturally skinny. Fitted shirts will kind of shape themselves around your sides and further enhance the shape of the body.

Also, with long-sleeves, you have the option of going short or long. It's just a matter of rolling the sleeves up.

Gap & Banana Republic sell 'fitted' shirts I believe. I recently purchased two long-sleeve fitted shirts from a Gap store in the mall for 10 dollars each. Also, Gap's t-shirts have that 'fitted' shape and are referred to as 'athletic' fit.

American Eagle Outfitters also carries some fitted clothes (polos, shirts, t-shirts). They refer to it as 'vintage' fit. It's the same as 'fitted'.

I'd try the following kind of outfit:

Top = a fitted 'white' shirt with blue stripes going down or another eaqually light color. (try to get shirts w/stripes that go down and not across. actually, i've yet to see long-sleeves with stripes going across...or i've never noticed them long enough to remember it.)

Bottom = bootcut jeans w/some kind of artificial damage (tears, cuts, etc.) BTW, it'll help if the jeans are a darker shade as opposed to light colored.

...and for the feet...try brown sandals. Or, loafers in black. Brown is good too, but black = sophistication.

Half, but it doesn't matter. I'm 5.4ft and a half, and I look good in any shirt.
