No, they don't. They carry a predominantly western viewpoint of the world. Very insignificant events in Europe and US become world news whereas major upheavel in third world is ignored. When it comes to reporting on west asia crisis, the reporting carries strong bias.

The answers are interesting. People pick a news channel based on their own political beliefs. It's sad but true. If you are left in American you watch CNN or MSNBC if you're right you watch Fox. Contrary to popular belief they are equally accurate, just spun to agree with their viewers. (That's why there's such vitriol against Fox by the left). The BBC is notoriously bad for spin. There's entire websites dedicted to it and they've come under investigation and had forced resignations over some seriously bias innacurate reporting. Their own reporters complained about it during the first months of the Iraq War. Still, it's better than the propoganda stations you get in the Middle-East.

I didn't see about the situation in Nepal. I think the BBC is usually quite good but i don't think you can ever get a truely unbiased news channel. The BBC for example has been under attack from the British government several times so it seems fairly obvious the government wants them to report in a certain way.

Living in another country, I can see how biased CNN and other media is towards Isreal for example. I live in the middle east and so we see a lot more here than those in the states. CNN makes it look like Isreal is the victim, but if you actually see what is going on, not only half the picture, you would see that Isreal is the terrorist and they are destroying a country and killing thousands of innocent children, all ünder the "defending themselves" farce. It is really horrible what is really going on over there, too bad the American people will not see the truth.

I can't speak for CNN but I know that the BBC is regulated by a non governmental body to ensure it's news reports are unbiased. It doesn't always work but if you want to see what happens without it try watching Fox News some day. Laughable.

I would hope by now that people realize that much of the news they see and hear are false, staged events, and have 'doctored' film. Opinion polls are not even given without bias, the public is being manipulated by the media. Members of the American Democrat Party don't even know that the party was 'bought' and is now controlled by the Shadow Party, which manipulated the latest primary election in Connecticut. But, I'm wasting my time.

For what it is worth, I think the BBC is more centered then CNN, but I would not give a nod to Fox as being any more accurate.
