I have a guy friend who is irritated by girls who ask him what he is thinking. He says it bores him when a girl asks him that.
I sent him an email with an article about "the top 5 toughest questions women ask" because I thought it might interest him. The 'top 5' were:
1. "What are you thinking?"
2. "Do you love me?"
3. "Do I look fat?"
4. "Do you think she is prettier than me?"
5. "What would you do if I died?"
So he replied with these words:
"soo.. if women say they know what we are thinking (even if we dont) then why do they ask us all these questions, seeing they know the answers anyway?"
And I don't know how to answer him. The best I could come up with is that "these women" respect his opinion otherwise if I was any more honest I'd have to tell him that he's just too quiet and he should talk more!
Also, he's quite popular with the ladies (I think) because he is good-looking so I guess women are asking him questions a lot (I assume).

If presumably all men are asked these questions, and they find them irritating, does it mean they find women irritating? What does that say about men? I think these are just a part of the game between the sexes-and they should be viewed with a sense of humour...I can tell a lot about a guy from his answers to questions like these-how original he is , how clever, how humorous...and in the end, how interesting or not! If he cant be bothered with these, and coming up with new and interesting answers, it would signify he is bored with me, or with women in general...As for the no. 1 question, some women can read their boyfriends' minds but a) they want to make sure they are right (if they feel a bit insecure) b) they want to make him share his mind and open up to them. Plus they want to see if he will attempt to lie...I dont see anything wrong with these, its part of the attraction and if a guy cant be bothered, maybe he is too self-centered and spoiled and feels he doesnt have to try, or maybe he is not that interested in the particular woman, he doesnt care for her and doesnt want to humour her? (I would assume...)

Because they just want to be reassured that they really can read minds!!! Think about it: if you are a real mind reader and you've just read my mind and noticed I'm thinking about going for lunch with my boyfriend, how good you'd feel about yourself if I confirmed that yes, that is what I was thinking about. Anyway, men will say anything to get you off their backs.

I don't mind being asked what I'm thinking, but it's kind of pointless because men don't think anything anyway. Really.
