I suppose that people who are spoiled could still be very generous to others around them, sharing their good fortune.
People who are selfish only think about themselves.

People who are spoiled expect and demand that things be given to them, they may or may not be concerned with only themselves.
People who are selfish are only concerned with themselves but expecting things to be handed to them is not a requirement
Often the two go hand in hand.

After putting thought to it, I think someone that had to depend on or fend for themselves at an early age becomes selfish because they had to look after self to make sure their needs were taken care of whereas someone spoil does not have to fend for themselves, people give to them and they expect people to keep giving to them.
