I have seen quite a few questions on here that are really profound or tricky. They are usually deceptive in their simplicity. Some require advanced math to answer properly, or a serious interest in philosophy. There is always some person posting who gives the trivial answer that is already noted in the question or details and then says something like "I guess you might learn not to mess around with these indeterminate things when you grow up. " instead of considering what the question is about or who the person asking it might be.
I am just wondering what drives these people.

I'm foolish enough to quote Plato here:
"Wise people talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something."

Why not throw in Shakespeare for good measure:
"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."

Uhm, you tell us.
It would be foolish to think that every individual has the same thought process that you or I do. There are so many different age groups, cultures, income levels, education levels, etc. on this site, and everyone has the right to ask or say what he/she feels.
Perhaps you could just ignore whatever it is you do not like, as the page will turn in just a few moments. You could also choose specific areas of interest to read or ask your question.

They are most likely driven by the quest for constant recognition in order to escape or camouflage the inevitable truth of their foolishness even if it means acting like a fool in the process. Besides! Any answer regardless of it's pertinence is worth 2 points which can mean a lot to a fool.

The same thing that drives you, the need for attention and approval. To stereotype individuals in such a manner really does show how much you need to learn about human nature and the hierarchy of needs. Before one classifies people as fools the individual should evaluate where they themselves stand in the eyes of those you seek attention from. reaper out.................
