Depends on the exact details and what you want from a job.

The two biggest issues I can see are (a) a much higher salary may involve moving to another part of the country, which you may not want to do, and (b) the BPO (whatever THAT is) may not have long-term business stability (which could leave you looking for a *new* new job in 6 months if it goes out f business).

The BPO business in India is booming. Slowly other countries near India (like Pakistan) are also catching up. I am sure that this change you are talking about is in India and not Pakistan bec I have heard that in Pakistan they get nearly double of what they get paid in India as far as the net salary is concerned. And then there are liberal perks like chauffer-driven cars, etc. But i am not so much sure about the consistency of it all in a place like Pakistan, which we are all very well aware of, keeping the general conditions, etc. in that country. The grass is always greener on the other side but it is only we who take our own individual decisions. If you are able to evaluate all the pros and cons of the new opening, speak to your existing colleagues confidentially, your family, well-wishers, etc. you may be able to arrive at a decision very soon. Think about it vis-a-vis the present scenario. It could be for the better but also I am quite sure that something else also come alongwith. It cud be long hours or whatever. But the final decision is going to be yours. If you are open with your Boss, speak to him to find what they have for you in this present organisation. You may be surprised that on hearing of this they may give you a raise! Who knows? So do not hasten it up. Its your career-move and it has to grow. Take a wise decision of opening up to people and discuss it and be prepared to take risks. They are worth taking. After all you are a professional and the career has just begun. All the best!
