''It is self-evident that nothing concerning art is self-evident any more.” (Theodor Adorno). Indeed, it is not even clear anymore who has the right to define art. Artists, philosophers, anthropologists, and psychologists all use the notion of art in their respective fields, and give it operational definitions that are not very similar to each others.

It's subjective. Art is everywhere. It can be something natural or man-made. It can be anything from photography to landscaping, sculpting to architecture or even music. It's always going to be criticised and frequently there will be someone who says that's not art and someone who says it is. Generally art is something man made (or captured on film in photography) that is asthetically pleasing to the eye or ear. However, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder what one person loves anther will hate. We all have different tastes in what we like to see and hear so it depends who you ask. I'm a big fan of the classical masters but I just don't really care for Picasso's mixed up faces. I respect him as an artist and admire some of his other works before that phase but for me I just don't find those pleasing to look at. I'm more of a realist I like to see things that have a lot of realism to them. I don't care too much for abstract art. Others love it because of the emothions they elicit by looking at the image. Emotion is another imprortant component in art because you must be able to connect with an image or sound to really apprecite it. Often we like things that remind us of something in our own lives or our dreams. Art is a very subjective and lengthy topic that is best learned though studying art. If you are really interested you should take some college art history classes and some art classes such as drawing, painting or sculpting. If that's not your thing mybe learn to play an instrument

art is putting an emotion into some other form... whether it be music, dance, painting, sketching, designing, poetry or many other ways people express themselves...
It is expressing your feelings, and thoughts at that time in your life through some other means. Those ways can vary amongst all of us.

When I think of something,I think in picture;I dont think a thought in words.I think a picture that expresses my thoughts and by working with this picture,I produce an experience..
All the things in the world comes from being. And being comes from non-being.Humans as we are live by imagination,by admiration, and our sentiments like a canvas of natures beauty captured in full glory.
That's what art is all about to me being able to express my self. :)
