I think they're both beautiful. For artistic purposes, I love the curves and mystery of the female form. It's lovely and almost melodic. But I also very much appreciate the chiseled form of the male body. It suggests something tough, resilient, unbreakable. Think Michaelangelo's "David" in marble.
For sheer hard labor, I think the man's body is more suited to the task. (Of course there are hard-body female exceptions.) But I love watching the male form in action...like a well-oiled machine, churning, burning, hot and sweating. Yum!
But I love the grace and athleticism of female ballerinas and gymnasts and divers.
It really just depends on the arena in which the forms are presented. I appreciate both forms...they're both wonderfully made!
As for intimacy...I want only my husband's body. ; )

I'll refer to a "Seinfeld" episode. Elaine said the female body is a work of art, whereas the male body is just for utility -- like a jeep.

'BEST' is subjective. 'Best' is the opinion of one person, based on ones experiences in life that lead him/her to believe that one of something is better than the other, OR 'BEST' is determined by a quantitive set of values or an agreed upon set of standards, thus giving it a reason to be the BEST BODY.
As for my opinion, It depends on 'what' or 'whom', 'WHO's' refers to. i.e a car body, a persons body, an animals/insects body, a dead body, a body of water etc..
So I will answer allof the above: The BEST car body - 1966 Ford Mustang. The BEST persons body- well of course my wifes. The BEST animal or insect body - the squished one. And of course the BEST body of water is the Pacific Ocean - Because I grew up near it. :-) and of course the best DEAD body would be the buried one or OSAMA Bin LADEN - kinda a tie.
Oh...now I see you asked MALE or FEMALE --- well in that case - FEMALE body are the most fun to play with and look at, but mine is the best to have.
