It does happen to a lot of babies. They are born with some hair, but they lose most of it over the first weeks. When it grows back in, it can be a different color, either lighter or darker.

My baby was born with a head full of dark brown hair. This was a huge surprise to my husband and I since we both had almost white hair as children. Now that he's 6mths old he looks like he's going bald because the roots are white/blond and the ends are dark.

Absolutely it's possible! I was born with black hair. By three months of age, it fell out and was a reddish color. I've been a blonde since the age of one. It's possible her hair color will change again.
A lot of babies won't necessarily have the color of hair they were born with.

Absolutely, it is possible, and quite common!
I was born with loads of black hair, which gradually turned to blonde. I was so surprised to see my baby photos with a mop of black hair, as it is so light now!
Also, my boyfriend's little cousin was born with dark brown hair, and as the months go by, his hair is changing to a ginger colour too. It looks like he will be a redhead the same as his brothers and sisters.
So yes, your child will probably be a redhead, although this could change again as she gets older.
Most children are not born with the same colour hair as they will have when they are older. A similar thing occurs with eye colour.
I hope I helped.

Yes, it is possble to change color while growing. My son was born with black hair, he's now almost 16 months old and his hair is brown like his dad's.

Yes, it can definitely happen. When our first son was born with dark hair, we were shocked. (My hubby and I are both blond.) But now our son is a very light blond. And our other 3, although they didn't start out quite as dark, have also lightened up considerably!

All of my babies were born with very dark hair. It lightened first to strawberry blond, then darkened to a sandy blond color. It started to get lighter around 2 months, then stayed the strawberry blond until about 18 months before gradually darkening.

Both my daughters were born with black hair....one of which now has blonde and the other brunette. It is very common for the hair to change colors over the first years of life. Sometimes babies born with lots of hair even lose all of their newborn hair.

My daughter was born with a mop of thick black hair and at 11 months old now she has turned a very light brown, sort of mousey colour and has much less hair than she was born with.
