Dodgers are now at 11, just wondering how far they have to go for the record.

The Chicago Cubs franchise has done it twice. They first did it back when they were the White Stockings in 1880, then as the "current" Cubs in 1935. In both streaks, they won 21 consecutive games.

The Giants did win 26, but the tie in the middle of that streak means that the Cubs get the official record.

In all of baseball, it's the Giants at 26, but during that streak, they tied a game, which didn't count against the streak at the time, but they only played 152 games. The Cubs had a 21 game streak when the schedule was 154 games...but since MLB went to a 162 game schedule, the longest streak is the Oakland A's, who won 20 in a row in 2002...amazingly, the 21st game during the streak, they were winning, and blew it in the last inning.

The 1916 Giants won 14 tied 1 won 12. In baseball, apparently, thats a 26 game winning streak as tied games are replayed but as one individual said, if the stats count, the games count.

The longest true winning streak was 21 games by the 1935 Chicago Cubs
