It is possible. My partner and I lived about 2000 miles away. But after a year of meeting and talking almost everyday, we are now together.

I know two people who met on the internet and got married.
But: falling in love with someone only works if it goes both ways. Then, if it does, then nothing can stop it from working.

it might be fun for a while, to date and travel... its also romantic to have a long-distance relationship. but in the end it will be tedious. and there just wont be enough time to test the relationship if theyre mostly apart .... so should be enjoyed for what it is ... a pleasant seasonal relationship.

I think it will. You can be physically apart, but you're together in the opposite sides of the globe. While you are away, your hearts are still together.

Love is a funny thing. It will last as long as they both want it to, and they want to make it work

If they've met, yes.
If they haven't and won't in a while, no.
