When my oldest son was about 10 (now 32) I took him Trick or Treating - we went as a team. I was a single parent with not much money so had to come up with costumes on my own back then. Ended up getting old white sheets I had - ok we where Ghosts - but he also had a helmet kind of like a constuction yellow colour that had a rotating, flashing red light on top - he wore that. Then I made up two (body board signs - whatever they are called). On the front it said - The Ghost Patrol on the back sign it said - We Are Watching You and we both wore these.
Well when we went trick or treating that night we had a hoot - you could see us coming from far off because of my son's helmet flashing - everyone would be reading our signs and commenting (plus the big ghost never spoke lol), I would stand back in the driveways while he went to the doors but places would say - *here's some candy for the big ghost too lol* And then there was the lady that greeted us at the door and said * I was watching you all the way down the other side of the street and I see your batteries are getting low - here are some fresh ones for you*
It was a great memory with my son :-)

When I went to a friends party. Okay, so it was a week before Halloween. But whatever. Now that I am doing the musical at my school, we have either a dress rehersal or a performance on Halloween. I'm hoping everyone can convince the director to let us take Halloween off. Everyone in the drama dept. loves Halloween.

Hello. - 1995. I was pulled from a crowded sidewalk in the Quarter to join in the famous downtown Halloween Parade. One of the best Halloween nights I have ever experienced.

Have a nice day. :)

About 3 years ago now...I'd been collecting 1 penny coins (maybe 2p and just a few 5p coins) in a jar for weeks. Then these bunch of 4-5 year olds came knocking on my door shouting 'Trick or Treat!' So me, being me, I grabbed the jar, which was full of 1&2p coins and gave it to the biggest kid in the group. That was sooooo funny, the little girl could not hold it because it was very heavy. All the other kids were going 'wow' and 'never seen so much money'. When they went off, two kids were holding the jar because it was too heavy. I think they stopped trick or treating because they thought they were rich enough to go home now. I really made their evening, which made me feel so cool about myself because it is so hard to impress kids these days.

Don't really do Halloween as it is very American to celebrate it, we don't really traditionally celebrate it in the UK. Anyway, when at university I went to a friends Halloween party and dressed up as Honor Blackman's character from The Avengers - lots of tight black clothes, bouffant hair, a gun and a whip - the outfit went down a storm and I had a really great time. I usually hate fancy dress.

My best Halloween was last year. I dressed up a really scandalous and sexy FBI agent (my costume was very revealing and I had on 6 inch stripper heels) and my boyfriend dressed up as my favorite scary movie character Michael Myers. We went to a club with some of his friends and danced the whole night. My costume was so sexy that guys were hitting on my the whole night.
