I feel like I'm getting my period, though they are a week late. It's a slight pain in my lower back and it feels like my stomach is under pressure. How many women felt like they were getting their period, then discovered they were pregnant? Is feeling like your getting your period but you don't actually get it, a sign of pregnancy?

Do you knopw for certain you are pregnant? have you taken a pregnancy test?

If not, wait a little longer. I had the exact same symptoms, and I thought I was pregnant. I had 2 negative pregnancy tests, but my period still didn't come. I was 3 weeks late, but it finally came.

I think it is the stress of not knowing if you are pregnant or not, and if you are trying for a baby, that can be very stressful too and often delay periods.

I spent the 3 weeks before I got my period with lower back pain, stomach pressure, exactly the same as you describe.

I hope this helped a bit, but you should do a pregnancy test if you haven't already, and....

Good luck!

I had never felt so positive that I was going to get my period, I usually get some gassiness and cramping, and it was more than usual, so I told my boyfriend, "not a biggy, I am soooo getting my period" and well 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant. I took the test when I felt an unusual feeling in my stomach, it felt like I pulled a muscle, or I had streched wrong, I took the test, with a positive result. then I took 2 more to be sure. I am 11 weeks now. Good Luck.

It can be, but it's typically not for most women. The most common sign for women is sore/tender breasts. If you want more information about it, go to www.babycenter.com. They have all kinds of info that's very accurate. (I tested it against the information all of my midwives gave me.)

Sounds like it might be a bladder/kidney infection.
