I guess I like TIAMAT better than METALLICA,

Tiamat is a band from Sweden that was formed in Stockholm, in 1988. The band's music has been described variously as gothic metal, gothic-doom metal, and symphonic metal, due to some variances in sound throughout their discography.

Initially, they had begun as straightforward death metal under the name Treblinka. The band split up in 1989, leaving vocalist/guitarist Johan Edlund, who would subsequently change the name to Tiamat.


Metallica is an American heavy metal band, formed in October 1981.

With 57 million albums sold in the United States (RIAA Total Sales) and over 35 million albums sold outside the U.S. [1] [2], the band has sold just over 90 million albums, making them one of the most commercially successful heavy metal acts in history. Metallica are currently 18th on the RIAA's list of top selling acts in the United States.

After building a loyal following through its role in the development of modern heavy metal, especially thrash metal, (the most successful of the "big four" of thrash metal, which also included Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax) in the mid-1980s, the band broadened its audience in the early 1990s. In 2003 Metallica released their long-delayed 8th studio album, entitled St. Anger. Although the album polarised critical and popular opinion, their 2004 "Madly in Anger with the World" supporting tour was a success.
