I'd recommend changing your HOSTS file to make these websites inaccessible. I'll warn you that the following steps look complicated, but it's really quite easy once you do it...

Update: I'm sorry for steering you wrong with my first "answer" (if you want to call it that).

I guess I haven't tried the HOSTS file trick in awhile because I discovered that Microsoft disabled this in WinXP SP2 (viruses were using it to disable antivirus signature updates, so they viewed it as a security threat).

Anyway... I did some research and found some software that should do the trick: http://www.scosoft.com/BlockWebSiteBuddy.exe

Just install this using the defaults. Once the program comes up, just click the "Block Unwanted Web Sites" tab and then click the "Block Web Site" button. At the prompt, type in the website you want blocked (i.e. www.porn.com). Click the OK button. At that point, you can close the program. When you try to go to that website, it should no longer work! In fact, if it works well, the software contains a list of ready-to-block advertising websites (such as doubleclick.net), which will get rid of most of the nasty pop-ups. Within the "Block Unwanted Web Sites" tab, just click the "Block ->" button.

One last note: I believe this is registered as "shareware", so if you like it, you should spend the $19.95 to "register" the software. However, I don't see anywhere (including their website: scosoft.com) that the "unregistered" version expires or is limited in any way. So........ :)

well the solutions r all too complicate, i assume u r using windows, so just find ur "host" it should be located here:
Windows NT/2000/XP Pro c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Windows XP Home c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
after finding it open it in a notepad or any text editor, now u need to know the ip of the site u wanna block u canfind that out by:
1. go the website http://www.all-nettools.com/toolbox
there in SmartWhois box type in the url form the site u wanna block, and hit retune the next page will on the top show the ip of that site this u need to note down
2. now open the host file and add at the bottom
(there should be a line like 127.0.0.1 localhost)
the ip of the site u want to block and right of it localhost or 127.0.0.1
and voila u can not open teh site anymore
