Talk to someone

Is it long term and does it keep you from enjoying your life? If it is, go to a doctor, or a counselor, or both and get help for it. This is not normal and should be dealt with.
Is it just a "once in a blue moon" kinda thing? The best thing to do is exercise, enjoy a good book, do something you enjoy.
If it's related to an event, like breaking up with someone, then you'll just have to put in the time and get over it. Everyone goes through these sorts of things and nothing beats "time heals all wounds." If it's something like this you could also go to your doctor for a mild anti-depressant to use temporarily to get over some of the more severe symptoms of your depression.

I suffer from clinical depression,it is tough sometimes, because I do not want to get up out of bed nor eat or bathe ,nothing but the feeling of doom and worthlessness the longer I stay down the harder it is to get back on track.I must stick to a seep and diet regiment, take my medication see my counselor and seek therapy, force my self to do baby steps to get back into life say go to one outing a day for just a little while at first then increase time, take vitamins also helps If this person does not have a doctor they need to see one .Depression hurts physically ,head aches, joint pain, stress muscle pain ,besides the mental anguish that you can not stop the roller coaster, please see a doctor and then they can diagnose properly Depression can be deadly if un- treated, get help.!Exercise, eat,do the basic hygiene, force your self to take vitamins, and talk to a professional, baby steps

If its the first time or a rare occurence, get ure m8's round, some beers, some pizza, turn up the music, and get wasted. If long term go take some valerian.
Notes, a stripper works for either. unless your married.

talk to someone you're at ease with. share your grief and hopefully, that person would understand and open a bright light for you.

go on. life is good. there's so much in store for you.
keep on going.
dream. believe. survive.
