Trying to remember the Linnaean taxonomy system? ;)
Have a look at http://www.biocrawler.com/encyclopedia/Linnaean_taxonomy and see if any take your fancy, or better still adapt and change one for yourself. I find things like that often stick better if it's a phrase I've developed myself as the words are somehow more natural to me

Those letters, kpcofgs, its a way to remember the order of classification in taxonomy and binomial nomenclature. King Philip (or Phylum) Came Over For Great Spaghetti!! It's a way to remember: kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, species
