Sorry to burst your bubble but it is unlikely that any tax let alone his tax would ever get within a mile of a starving child. It's a sad fact that a lot of money just goes into funding the bureaucracy, wasting money that could be better used.

Personally the work he does far outweighs the 300k, so give the man a break unless you're just trying to be like the UK press and tear down anyone who has more money than the average person.

He's only doing what everyone in their right mind would be doing! You never know, he might even do something charitable with some of the money he saves in taxes. Give him a break, at least he's not just talking about changing the world for the better, he's doing his bit, too!

PS: Yeah right, as if our tax money goes straight to the starving people around the world! Dream on, dreamer!

He's always done it, and so do all rich people since their first donation up to the current ones they're making today, and then claim the donations as a deduction come tax-time...

Same thing as those other celebs and rich folk that fake marriages and then divorces, pretending they lost 1/2 or all to their spouse, but not really only keeping Uncle Sams grubby hand out of their Cookie Jar...

SMART!

So long as he doesn't live in this country and expect his bins to be emptied or get NHS healthcare for free, he can do what he likes.

It makes me sick that these rich celebs could probably afford to put this country back on it's feet, but I've never heard of Paul McCartney commissioning a new hospital wing or helping to restore a national treasure.

what we should do is tackle the misery here first, than the Africans. we already do a lot for African people, and not so much for the Irish !!
And Bono can do whatever he wants same as you can !!

if he avoided tax and paid that money to all the causes he professes to follow then fine, but he doesn't he avoids paying tax and sits on his fortune telling the rest of us we should be paying big percentages of our incomes to his causes, lets face it he he gave half his wealth he'd still eb a multi multi millionaire, everything he does is for his own ego.

bono is an annoying fucker that sticks his nose in everything , instead of asking us for our money I'm pretty sure he could wipe out famine in a small country in Africa with his money

He can afford a really good twisted accountant, who probably earns that much money for cooking his books and dealing with his millions.

If I had that much money, I'd party every weekend like it was, um....

five past nine??

Anyway.
