it really depends on you...but i think that lost love will never go away, it becomes apart of you and who you will become so learn from it and appreciate that you had that love at one time

You will get over it but don't try to lose the memories. It is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.In time you will meet someone else and the things you learnt from your last love can be used to make the next relationship better. You are a loveable and loving person so don't worry about a time scale. Things will change for the better as long as you give yourself some time to grieve and then, when you feel ready move on to new friends and relationships.

FROM MY OWN EXPRIENCE IF THIS IS A WOMAN THAT YOU HAD AN INTIMATE RELATION WITH THERE REALLY IS NO TIM E PERIOD , SOME SAY GET ANOTHER TO GET OVER THE OTHER FOR MYSELF IT TOOK ME AROUND 2 YEARS TO REALLY GET OVER IT ALL , TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT AND NOT HAVE IT BOTHER ME THAT MUCH THE BOTTOM LINE TO IT IS THIS , YOU ARE NEVER REALLY GOING TO GET OVER IT COMPLETELY IT WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOME SORT OF SIGNIFICANCE ON YOU ITS ALL ABOUT LEARNING HOW YOU WILL DEAL WITH IT (keep in mind this is only my opinion and these are only suggestions and i may or maynot be right about any of it do what you feel is comfortable to you and every body deals with things in different ways and something like this is never an easy thing to overcome )

You never get over a lost love. The pain goes away after time but your love will be with forever. You need to go on living and remembering all the good times. It will be 4 yrs since my husband passed away and somedays I feel like it was just yesterday. But you move on and hope that your heart will heal.

It is very tough to do this. I thought that it was impossible but in terms of passionate/romantic love, one girl once told me that to forget about lost love one should move on and seek new love. I never believed this until it happened. When you find new love you'll not be that sad about the love that you've lost. Maybe it differs if you've lost your wife etc. but in terms of girlfriend/boyfriend situations what I'm saying is true.

It takes a life-time minus the time you spent with the one you loved, and whose love you might still have. But if you start loving someone else then a new register will be set up for you and the new person you now love.
This is how we run things over here.

It varies from person to person .It all depends how quickly a person realises that man is born with a curse of losing loved one as time passes and that one has to move on and live for oneself and other loved ones around you with a deep place in your soul where the lost loved one is to be burried and move on.

There is no absolute measure for love and love is never lost even if it is no longer present. So in fact we shouldn't get over a loved one once they pass, we do have to move on though.
