For years, we in America have supported Israel both financially and militarily because we perceived they were the innocent victims of hostile and violent neighbors. The US media has, for years, provided extensive coverage of every incident involving Arab-against-Israeli violence. From shootings, to car bombs to suicide bombers, we in America have seen it all. Or have we?

Why would rational human beings, given a choice, choose to attack their neighbors rather than live together in peace? More pertinent, why would a rational human being choose to blow himself up rather than live? The Israelis, the US media and our politicians would have us believe that the Arabs are simply not rational. They routinely tell us that Arabs are "religious fanatics" who "hate freedom" or "hate our way of life" to quote George W. Bush. These arguments are fallacious and intellectually bankrupt.

The reason for Arab against Israeli violence is simple: The Israelis have been systematically repressing and brutalizing hundreds of thousands of Arabs on a scale unparalleled since World War 2. What would YOU or YOUR LOVED ONES do in retaliation for these things?

First- you stated "rational human beings". What makes a Muslim extremist rational. Anyone who would use suicide bombers is not rational. And if you believe they are you intellectually bankrupt

Second- The Extremist's claim themselves that they are out to destroy the nation of Israel and all Jewish people. That is their words not some propaganda tool of the US Media. Al Jazerra reports that also. Rational people call the racial genocide!

TO Blueplanet- Israel did exist 2000 years ago. Not only by the bible accounts but also by Greek and Roman history. So what happened to all their land? Maybe 60 years ago they just took their land back from the people that stole it!

You are right on the money. The people of the middle east are the victims of foreign intruders and instigators and simply have the testicular fortitude to stand up to their oppressors and to never give up. If they were in America and the same situation occurred, they would be regarded as the greatest of hero's.

Double Standard!

Oh, and to the idiot who said that the Zionists are taking the land from those who took it from them, first of all it was Romans (people more like YOU) who evicted them from their land, not Arabs, and most Jews of today are not the same Jews that left the land at all. Also none of the people alive today had anything to do with what happened in that time. How can you say that it is right to turn an entire nation of people into instant refugees so another group can be happy? that is so morally bankrupt i can't believe it!

Well do you think it's rational to believe and follow a religion that tells you to kill all those who are not Muslim? They do. But yeah we in the west are the bad guys and Israel because we believe in individual freedom run by a government that (is supposed to) serve the people not surpress them. Yes we defend ourselves against people who use any means to destroy us because we exist, some of the fun things they do is cut off your private parts stuff them in your mouth then for a giggle gouge your eyes out before they behead you. But they are the good guys according to you and we are the bad ones. Oh well. Life just isn't fair sometimes.

Both Reuters and A.P. are "reporting" an agenda...Not news as straight facts! Theirs is an interest in putting in power factions that suppress individualism and freedom.
If forged photos were not bad enough, consider the lies that accompany within the under photo description and the accompanying story!
To say "they" were misled is a lie! Their intention was to mislead through their propaganda.
History tells us the Egyptians, then the Romans fought the Jews...Who was there first? Your question is a biased hateful rant, which makes you one hateful prejudice bigot! And historically stupid I might add!

certain!! I definately do! I stay in a military city - we've a military and an Air stress base - and the vast majority of infantrymen i have talked to have instructed me our media LIES to us. they in straightforward words prepare what they prefer us to understand, and they prefer us to fail in Iraq. examine out what number photos printed with the help of Reuters and the AP were shown to be pretend. Why are we giving those human beings a bypass in this? the position is our outrage? that's particularly unhappy once you're attempting to tutor your self on international activities, yet you're really merely being fed propaganda that matches each newshounds attitude. because the overwhelmng majority of newshounds declare to be liberals, that is the in straightforward words attitude we get. An AP reporter wrote a finished hack job on a community trapper i recognize. It replaced into so amazingly slanted and biased, I instructed the trapper that even i replaced into merely about pissed at him with the help of the time i finished the tale. And the hack job replaced into over a criminal wolf kill. This "impartial" reporter also at present wrote a narrative about my community - the position she would not stay - and agan, it replaced into so twisted, I merely had to giggle. What the hell are we going to do about it?

Israel didn't really exist 60 years ago , from where do you think they got their lands ? they occupied arabian lands . Arabs were and are fighting to get back their land . I can list you hundreds of massacres that they have commited against the palastinians , lebanese , syrians , egyptians and Jordanians . they tried to occupy their lands and when they tried to fight back they were called by the US " Terrorists " . I have watched the US , Europian and middle eastren media , I found gret difference in what every one of them tried to focus on , but these are historical facts

Bravo !!! --- I loved your question/statement and I could not put it better myself. Let me just say this... a country that has a president with the level of intellect of G W Bush should hide their heads in embarrassment !!! That guys intelligence development stopped at the kinder Garden stage when he was 5 !! Who said this on TV "PEOPLE ARE VERY IMPATIENT ABOUT IRAQ... IT TAKES TIME TO RESTORE CHAOS !" ??? And "IT IS VERY SAD FOR OUR COUNTRY THAT ALL IMPORTS COME FROM OUTSIDE THE USA !" -- you guys deserve who you voted in to power !!! Even that sentence is surely stupid "I DO NOT VOTE ANYONE INTO POWER !" I vote for someone to represent me and my interests !!! We are losing sight of what is right and wrong !! No offence intended as I include myself in it too but... are we all becoming stupid ?!
