It could be. I think she was killed because she had served her purpose. She played the young princess bride and was the clean virgin who was able to give heirs to the throne. I don't think it was anything in particular she did - it was just that they didn't like. She was more popular than them!

I don't understand why everyone is so convinced that it wasn't an accident. The Royal family had severed all ties with Diana, she was a celebrity in her own right and as far as i'm concerned it was just an accident. I think paranoia and a bored media with a fascination towards Diana has concocted several other possible scenarios.

If that was true and they really had issues with Diana, then why wouldn't they let her carry the kid and screw herself over in the eyes of everyone else? Honestly, I think that's a hyped up rumor created by an insanely bored person.
