I agree that Indians are complex but do not agree with your second point. They do not try to copy Europeans.
We are complex because since long we are peace loving people. After being deprived and tortured by Europeans for two centuries we are very much cautious. We were not professional. The word professional was not there in any Indian dictionary. We all are social and emotional. None of your Europeans have the ability to understand the social bonding and emotional attachment of Indians. Now we have learned professionalism from Europeans and Americans. We need to draw balance among Emotion, Society and Profession - tough job. And tou think we are complex.
Now about copying. Everyone in this world try to copy others. The process learning starts with copying. Initialy we copy our teacher and later on we add our own value to it. As in India we saw Europeans as more powerfull nation, so its natural to try to copy. However I do not agree to that point that we try to copy. We do copy and the copy is so natural that no one can understand its a copy.
Europeans and Americans also do copy. Do you know how many Indian words are there In the new most version of Oxford Dictionary ! Go and check please. You will understand who is copying.
Do you know how many patents are pending in USA which are applied by American buisnessmen for Indian herbs. Go and find out. You will understand who is copying.
How many Indian restaurants are there in London? All these places are filled up mostly with Europeans. You are copying our food habbits.
Millions of Indian technical and software persons are working in Europe. Are you doing mercy to us !! No dear, you need our expertise.
The present age is of exchanging information and make the world a better place for leaving. Please do not bother who is copying whom. A good thing is started, a good practice is shared for copying only.

What? Copy Europeans?
I guess if that's the case it'll be 'cos they don't have the arrogance like Europeans and Americans and in order to get it they may as well copy them.
Bad move though, if true.

You can't speak for all Indians. But if you are taking about yourself, then you might want to learn more about your culture, etc.
