If that happens (and I hope it doesn't), the Communist officials will little by little turn Hong Kong into a Guanzhou. It will take decades, but they will ultimately succeed.

Never! or not now because one country two system. It's a potential growth area, anytime at a faster rate than here in Singapore. More or less, Singapore is affected by this fast growing economy but the Hong Kong CEO denied that this will not affect Singapore. How true ? I think the Economist need to comment.
