Hate to tell you this, but soccer (football) is enjoyed by some Americans. I know, I'm one of those. One of the reasons I enjoy the game so much, is because you can have a friendly against a team from almost anywhere...just for love of the game. The MLS all star game last week was against Chelsea...and it was a great match at that. I personally get 1 or 2 Premier League games a week on cable, and even if I can't catch them live, I do get to see them. The biggest problem with getting American's into the game is simple. Soccer isn't a game of quick plays and hard hits typically. So no...I don't think the any of the teams from Europe should stop playing in the States. You can't get Americans into the game, if we don't see it played at its best.

I really don't know why you decided to post your question like this. FIFA, along with the Premiership and other organisations, understands that there is a large, untapped fanbase in America. What better way to spread the love of the game than to have the top European teams tour North America? Just so you know, it has been very successful. I also feel that I should point out that Toronto is not in the USA, it is in Canada. The games in the USA have been selling out consistantly.

Your point of view is quite narrow. Many Americans love soccer (as it was named by an Englishman) and hope to see MLS be as successful and respected as other premier leagues of the world. Basketball is also very popular around the world. The NBA is considering Europe as the next area of expansion. Hope I was able to open your eyes.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you following those games???
Tonite Real Madrid is playing in Seattle and the game is pretty much sold out. That'll be almost 70,000.00 people and they are excited!!!
Three years ago Manchester united played in Seattle and it was a blast and one of the biggest soccer parties I have seen.
These tours are successful and make soccer more popular over here, otherwise those teams would not bother.

Actually, I'd be mad if that happened. I wanted ot get tix to the rChelsea game, since it was kinda close to me, but prices were so high because of the demand. If they played a few more preseason games each yr here, maybe I'd eventually get a chance. I like the teams who go around the US for their preseason. And yes, there are Americans that are football fans.

Many Americans love soccer, but the main reason English clubs play in America is because they get paid very well to do so.

Ummmmmmmmm... ya, you know what? Some Americans actually like football. And the FC Barcelona vs. Club America, ya, that was a sellout, in HOUSTAN, TEXAS. As in the US. Seriously! Do you know how many times I've had to say, THAT IS A PROTOTYPE! Get it through your heads.

Wrong!!!!!!!! Barcelona vs. Chivas last Sunday sold out at 92,000 in the L.A. Coliseum and yesterday Barcelona vs. America in Houston sold out at 70,000 in attendance. Chelsea vs. the MLS All-Stars last Saturday sold out as well in Chicago.
**European clubs come to America because the market potential is just like Asia's in terms of marketing and merchandising** Sorry dude, but soccer is on the upswing here!
